When installing audio systems it is always best to use a larger cable for your speakers. Larger cables

offer better sound and less variation in quality in response to temperature changes. Larger speakers

are not always better. Speaker design and cabinet design play a large role in how your speakers 

sound. 

If you are listening to speakers in a showroom, always walk around the room and check each

 speaker that is NOT supposed to be on. I had an experience in a major retail electronics chain

where the speakers all sounded too good to be true. The sales staff had either miss-wired or

 purposely wired the Bose901's to be on all the time regardless of the multiple switches available

to the customer for sampling of the speakers. Buyer beware..
